Day 1: Cultural & Temple Exploration

Morning (9:00 AM) — Nubian Museum

• Excellent starting point to understand Nubian history, artifacts, and the impact of the Aswan Dam
• Allow 2–3 hours

Midday (12:00 PM) — Animalia Museum (Elephantine Island)

• Take a short boat ride (5 min) from central Aswan
• Entry: ~50 EGP, or hire private guide Mohammed for detailed tours
• Small but intimate museum showcasing Nubian culture, jewelry, and handicrafts
• 1–2 hours

Afternoon (2:00 PM) — Nubian Spices Shop

• Browse authentic spices, teas, and crafts
• Friendly owner offers complimentary mango tea
• Perfect for souvenirs—expect fair prices and honest recommendations

Late Afternoon (4:00 PM) — Philae Temple

• Egypt's most scenic temple, located on an island
• Take a 5-minute boat ride from the dock
• Entry: ~100 EGP
• Best at sunset for magical lighting
• Optional: Sound & Light Show at 8:30 PM (adds an hour)

Day 2: Abu Simbel Day Trip

Very Early Morning (3:00–4:00 AM) — Depart Aswan

• Distance: 280 km south
• Drive time: ~3.5 hours
• Hire a car/guide or book a tour operator like Bastet Travel or Mahmoud's tours
• Estimated cost: 600–1,000 EGP per person (includes transport & guide)

7:00 AM–12:00 PM — Abu Simbel Temples

• Visit Ramses II's Great Temple with its iconic 65-meter colossal statues
• Explore the Temple of Hathor
• Incredibly impressive but crowded; go early to beat crowds
• Entry: ~100 EGP

Return Journey — Head back to Aswan (3–4 hours)

Late Evening (6:00 PM) — Nubian Village Experience (Optional)

• Visit a traditional village on the West Bank
• Accessible only by felucca (sailboat)
• Experience colorful painted homes, local hospitality, authentic Nubian dinner
• Cost: 300–500 EGP depending on activities
